Hi all

Just to update everyone on the weekend. (some are here already)

The river is high and fast but set to drop back down to its normal level by Friday Afternoon.

However the Canoeing will always go ahead. If the river comes up above a safe level we will Spar (join) canoes together so you can still safely enjoy the river. This vastly reduces the chances of capsizing. If the river comes up above that level again we will put instructors out on the water to keep everyone out of harms way. Whilst this changes the dynamics a little, It will still be a great social-able experience.

Can't wait for you all to be here.

Cheers Ian

Unfortunately, I'm going to be another drop out. My son (who was coming with me) was admitted to hospital earlier today with suspected pneumonia.

Hope those that make it have a great weekend.

Chris

A big group of us cruised down to the classic car show at Chepstow, a few others went on to the RSVP BBQ- was a great day!

Thanks Ian and Rikki, we had a lovely time.

The Chepstow car show was a neat idea. It was a bit "Hotel California" trying to leave there before the designated 4.30PM departure time mind you!!

Thanks Rikki and Ian. We had a blast. Sorry to not be able to make the convoy to the show. :(
I do think we should get maybe half the money back on the canoeing as we were back in half the time and didn't get into a sweat at all paddling back.

Ian, please send me a pm regarding what I owe you. I did try to catch you on Sunday but you were on the road again.

Cheers,
Gertjan

Hi Gertjan

Thanks for the little gesture of thanks you left in the awning it was a nice touch. Glad I could help with the air bed situation I've been there many times before.
