There was a view point in one of the camper mags this month about the end of production of the Split and the start of the Bay. It implied production of the split ended in JULY, well, my Split was built on the13th December 1966 and delivered to Ramsgate in January, any comments guys!!

They were made until 1967?

Splits and bays were both made in 67 and bays made into the early 80's etc

Would be great to find out the last made bus but with them being built all over the world by VW it'll be hard to say...

Split screen Production ended in Hanover in July 67 and Bays started a month later after the annual summer shutdown.

Nothing unusual in this - as others have said production went on into 1967, you state yours was built in 1966 - no big deal!
