Hi all,
I know this may sound like a stupid question but...
Are crewcab bumpers at the rear hung lower than on a normal camper/microbus etc?
Mine just look lower?!?!
Other bumpers look like they're kind of in line at the top with the top of the rear valance below the engine lid but mine is lower still by about 1" or so. Or am I imagining things?

Well it wasn't on my single cab and I would imagine they're the same as crews.....but the rear bumpers are different to vans....the corners are squarer eg make a tighter turn. Not seen many with the correct rear bumpers....
Packed a few belongings and headed out to Pirates Cove. In my buddy’s old grey Kombi we rolled until the gas got low.....
so what part number should I be looking for then or does anybody know where I can find the correct crewcab rear bumper and fittings?
I have searched online and can't seem to find 'owt?

although a bit more digging on thesamba.com (what a resource!) shows truck specific bumpers only between 59 and 61 so my 67 should have a universal bumper?
Confused more than ever now as it does hang lower than the top of the rear valance like I said?!

VW's split parts book lists a Single Cab specific bumper up to chassis # 384 999 (Sept.'58), part number 261 707 305.
Note, no mention of a Crew Cab specific bumper.
The part number for non Single Cabs up to the same chassis # is 211 707 305.
Thereafter all models had the same bumper 211 707 305 B.
Check you bumper irons and mounting. Sounds like someone has modified it to sit lower for one reason or another.
Have they put a spacer in between the chassis and irons?
