Stanford Hall has always been on the bank holiday weekend as far as I can remember?
Your right OP, I believe it was when it stopped being on the same wknd as Big Bang that it went mental there, must have been Big Bang that moved.

If you want that family type show thats relaxed, chilled but cool as penguin pee, i will point you in the direction of Devon Dub Fest.

its in the later weeks of July and is perfect for the family. beautiful surroundings , 5 mins off junction 30 of the M5 and 20 mins away from Exeter.

it has been going now for around 5 years and is a must for us !! take a look.

Battlesbridge is the only show I go to now. Very quiet and only 2 miles from me!
