December 2016 VOTM

Post by 8 8US » Thu Dec 01, 2016 12:57 pm

Thanks to Kev for this months theme, lets see your buses moving stuff, unusual stuff or otherwise, so whether its a trip to the tip, moving house or some other reason why your bus is crammed full lets see them in action.

Normal rules apply, thread will be open until around the 24th December for entries then changed to a poll, you've got to be in it to win so post them up.

A week to go before voting starts and no entries, has everyone clocked off for Christmas already?

And obviously it's a Marmite Delivery Wagon.

Also good for collecting Christmas Trees!

Here is my 1958 Single Cab that I had honored my brother-in-law’s last wish to be taken to his funeral Feb 2015 on the back of my truck. I have named my single cab “Bity” after him. I finished the dropsides just in time - although he was happy for me to take him on the back as a flatbed (he said just use some ratchet straps he had in his garage).

I know this will probably be disqualified but this IS the best load of things I have ever used my bus formally to transport...

(no offence to my first DIL)

Taking my youngest and my second DIL from the Craven Arms after the feast after walking in Appletreewick, the day after their wedding, to Skipton station to go on their honeymoon..

The load Included my youngest son's triathlon bike (in the big black bag in the middle) for him to practice on in the Italian mountains (whilst on his honeymoon!)...to keep in training for IRONMAN FRANCE 2015.
He eventually came 1075 out of 2800!
My son the doctor married a doctor..

We now have four in the family.
My son the teacher married my first DIL who is a GP.

Class Chris, top fella for doing that.
I have to do that for my dad when the dreaded time comes,he asked me a few years ago & its in his will. If it was'nt for him i would'nt have always had aircooled vw's,grew up with his 52 split bug i was only ever gonna go one way :D . He said he wants to hear the tones of an aircooled vdub one last time on his way to his resting place.
