Love Rosie, beautiful colours.
Totally missed this month otherwise I'd have entered our 65. Good luck!

Two reasonably elderly spinster school teachers bought our van from Colchester so that they could holiday in Scotland with their dogs (they had previously used a B&B but it no longer accepted dogs. They lived just a few miles from Braintree and used the van for just 2 years before one of them passed away and the van stood outside Penny Pots Cottage for many years unused. Then a local garage owner bought it and used it only a handful of times over the next 5 years (to tow a glider) before he sold it to another local business owner (an Electrical/TV repairers and store), they used it privately for days out and a holiday before passing it on to someone else in Braintree who attended amateur radio events in the van before it failed an MOT early in 1986. Sadly it stood for months untouched as the parts were not easily obtainable at the time. We were then lucky enough to get it (we thought we would use the rear axle and poptop to keep our 1973 camper on the road!!). We did not know much about VW's back then. By the beginning of 1987 we decided to get the work done on Rosie (as she was named straight away!) and were using her later that year. The rest of the story will be told another time. But needless to say Rosie is for keeps and been owned and enjoyed by the Childs' family for nearly 30 years now.
