Re: drops of oil from irs cv joint on gearbox

The cv's are new. For the axles, is there an ideal set to get? I'm using a 1302 box I think with early bay drums

Re: MOT fail on a leaking/worn rear shock

You may also find that the lower bush is seized on to the bottom stud. It's not always obvious. Heat it up and use big gas pliers to remove. I had this on one spindle. Very confusing at first!. I gently ground a groove in it and opened it up by tapping a screw driver with a hammer. Then really clea...

Gunson colourtune

Decided to give this a go as my plugs were heavily covered in black soot. Seemed to work well, the flame was very yellow and managed to get it to blue. However the sealing washer is loose, unlike a spark plugs so obviously lost it despite following the instructions. However they are sending me some ...

Re: Gauges

I have an oil temp and pressure gauges. Look on machine 7. You need the gauge and senders. For cht I went to dakota gauges. Basically senders on the engine, wires front to back. Lots of wires on the gauges for the dash lights, power and earth. It is simple really as I did it!

Re: interior light switch?

Mine is just for the rear light. Leave the rear switched on and the switch on the binnacle let will turn it off. The front is controlled by the switch on the light. Not sure if that is correct bit that is how it works on mine

Your bus, just do what you want. Just don't lower it or paint it a different colour to factory!

Re: Under floor insulation/deadening

When I did mine in 2005 I looked into this a lot. In the end I used flashing tape. I covered everthing I could add it was cheap. I also used foll backed bubble wrap. The difference on sound was immense. Temp not noticeable at all. The flashing hasn't fallen off or smell. All the panels sound more so...

Re: Anyone experienced this before?

I tried a CSP. Couldn't stop it going into reverse and also, because I have long legs, it was very hard to use as I had to try and get my left leg under the indicator stalk. Went back to OG and have just fitted a quick shift plate. £200+ v £6....
