Re: CSP Shifters v Gene Berg Shifters

That sounds like a probelm elsewhere.
It shouldn't even go that far forward because the throw is shortened too.
Worn bushes in the shift rod maybe?

Re: Engine builders any ideas/help please!

What sort of bottom pulley?
Make sure the reverse thread is clean.
Could be a few things when the engine is running very little oil is left in the sump but when the engine stops it settles again. Because it's warm it's thinner and runnier so is more likely to find any way out.

Nah I wish I could claim that, but I did a run,
Fitted the shifter in the pits
Ran again and was 3/10ths quicker.

Re: CSP Shifters v Gene Berg Shifters

Wouldn't part with my Berg shifter, never tried a csp one so don't know what they are like.
My berg one also knocked 3/10ths off my quarter mile time though.
Big difference that!

Re: Whats your MPG?????????????????

My 2332 race motor runs at around 30 to 32 on a cruise around the 70 mph mark. On the strip it ran 7 to 8 mpg of race fuel IRS'd with a type 3 box and bigish rear tyres at the time. Fuel injection gives you better mpg! It's also a falacy that big motors burn more fuel. Read back through and some of ...

BWA Nurbrgring trip (All welcome)

Been thinking about trying to organise this for a while but been a bit flat out. Haven't got so far as organising prices or anything yet, but thought I'd gauge interest first. Does anyone fancy a bit of a road trip in the summer to Nurburgring? We're thinking of a kind of long weekend type trip, tak...

Re: Plans for '09

Well, I think you already know what I have in store  Only you can tell me what sort of times I'm likely to run once it's built but I would like to get into the 15's, 16's will be a second and a half improvement over my current PB and will do but it would be good to run a 15 - that's my target...

Plans for '09

Just wondering if people had anything exciting planned for 2009?
Or is it all a secret?

What sort of times are people aiming for this year?

Aiming for a low 14 when we get back out this year.

Re: Pushrods

Depends. What sort of engine is it? A blue printed engine will have each push rod individually cut to length. For a stocker less of an issue.

Re: Companies that do Air ride upt Norfff???

This week we've just removed an air-ride system that was installed in the US, and refitted it for a custumer. The link system fouled on the hacked up LP's on 'high' setting, and locked up on the trailing arms on the 'low' setting.... so it didn't get a full lift or full drop. Plus was awful to driv...

Yes you can change the hockey stick, take the box out though it's easier.

Re: Hockey stick/nosecone question

Depends on year a bit, stock bus? Would be a job to get it out without removing the box to be honest. Once you were that far in would be easier to remove it I would say.
