Re: Devon Awning Pictures Wanted

On our 65 we have the drive away tent and no awning at all. I know that the brochure says it is 6'6" square. I would very much appreciate all the dimensions, The height of the upright poles, the length of the side poles. The length of the upper legs of the Y, the overall length of the base of the Y,...

Re: How does cooker fit in '61 cupboard?

I have dug through my photos and I will post links of my collection of hourglass cookers. Today. I have an early yellow one with a straight out fitting and a later white one with the right angle elbow (mine goes to the right?). I would have thought a visit to a friendly gas fitter would enable the r...

Re: 67 Caravette walkthrough question

I have spoken to Mark and we have determined that he has a Torvette SPACEWAY. This is the kombi version of the walkthrough, but it has the same funiture as the Caravette SPACEWAY. It was just based on the Kombi so in the pricing structure was #3 in the levels. He will be going to Viccy farm and to S...

Re: cargo door unit

That being a repro unit...mmm can't help. What year are you trying to find dimensions for? Bobley posted dimensions to make a door cupboard on his photobucket collection. Here http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k252/Bob_Corbishley and this is the section where he has the interior he copied. http://s9...

65 Devon Caravette - Extra tranverse hammock pole

I have just noticed that in the picture of the interior recently sold by Smiffy210 and photoshopped (by Maddison) http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c68/stevemaddison/aaaaaa.jpg just above the left hand purple arrow the wardrobe has two turn buckle fittings, one each side. Mine has exactly the same. ...

Re: Re-barrelling locks

If the barrells are VW style....you can with patience rebarrell and change the differs yourself. I have rebarrelled Metros (always being broken into!) and Audis, handles were broken. Basically you just need to be brave and carefull. The ideal is to match your ignition to your locks. Basically you ne...

Re: Devon section on the forum?

I agree!

A central resource of information would be a credit to a "progresive" forum.

I think that a lot of split owners who are looking to resurrect a classic english split would welcome the resource to guide their restoration.

Re: Dudley Cooker and Easicool

Bathtub...From the looks of your picture, the space for the cooker is lined with a galvanised holder which sits in the wooden frame. Then the mounting for the shield box sits in that. Then the cooker rests inside the wind shield. If you erect the hood it stands up quite high and you may see "witnes ...
