I'm going to get my rear wheels banded, Mike.
How wide have you gone, on the back?...

Not off hand, chap.
I'm going to keep mine back, just in case of any further developments.

Now got chromed 356 replica wheels ;)

Re: '67 Sundial... My first! Now known as Alfie ;)

Well, just acquired myself a very nice looking 3 bow roof rack and an engine bay hatch cover ;) Can't wait to see the rack on Alfie ;) When you get the rack on, would you mind measuring how high it sits at the topmost point above the gutter rail? I need to get the cart lodge cross members at the ri...

Re: VW engine vs Subaru engine

Personally, I couldn't fault you for going Red 9, discs all round, and scooby lump and 'box. That was pretty much my initial plan, too. I only ever wanted to retain the silhouette of the splitty ;) Got discs all round, but mainly for safety, but then plumped for a new build 2276cc lump, and new buil...

Re: Meet Rusty, 1962 11 window bus

I thought long and hard about the Scooby option... But, it's not a brand new Subaru engine and auxilliaries, so not necessarily any more reliable. Plus you need to plumb in the rad, etc... At the end of the day, I wanted to keep air cooled, so opted for the 2276cc new build! Not seen the engine, as ...

Can't believe I missed the resurrection of VotM!...
Great to see it back.
Now, do I enter Alfie this month, or wait till engine is in, in August... :bounce:

Re: '67 Sundial... My first! Now known as Alfie ;)

Not sure on size of new tank, though I think I saw 65 litres written somewhere... The cooler is also from Concept Racing. Is a ram air type, but with a spal fan above, which I'll have on a manual switch ;) Considering putting the gauges above the sun visor. It's a dead space, really... That's not a...

I may need one of your rollers, too, Karl.

Re: '67 Sundial... My first! Now known as Alfie ;)

Tank, Cooler and gearbox are sitting in the workshop, along with a few other bits n bobs, awaiting the completion of the engine. Then Alfie will come off the road, to have all the go faster bits installed ;)
Tank and cooler look great, thanks for the photo's.
