Re: '67 Sundial... My first! Now known as Alfie ;)

Totally agree... But, a perspex engine lid would be a wee bit tacky... ;)

Hongkongphooey wrote:That is an impressive looking engine set up. Is that air filter big enough though! :D
It should manage ok...
Should also be quieter than a stock twin filter set up ;)

Re: '67 Sundial... My first! Now known as Alfie ;)

I just opted not to run the heat exchangers with the new build, as I'll have a Propex unit installed between the front seats.
The engine/ shrouds will look much cleaner, too ;)

Progress update. Engine is now coming together... Dan's building it up, as I type... http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w410/paul_lewis156/longblock_zpse45018ba.jpg Also, going for the Bergman Hi Flow filter kit, too. http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w410/paul_lewis156/HFfilter1_zpseb9ac6c1.jpg

Re: COOPS SCOOP : Our 66 Split thread......

Nice update, Mike.
Like the wheel banding, looks well finished.
What size tyres did you run on the 4J rims?
Did you go bigger tyre, now, or same?
I'll start looking out for you, now you're running proper ;)

Re: VW engine vs Subaru engine

I would have gone Red 9, too... But, I wanted narrowed beam, and that was a show stopper!
