Re: now started on the front end..steering box removal advic

Just taken mine out. Jack her up as said, then it will come out at an angle no probs.
As for the steering wheel, I used a small blowtorch and clamp too then she popped off. ( not easily? Didn't think of hot water!)
Let us know how it goes

I'll second vote on the khyam quick erect tents. I have a motor dome which we used on my t4. She'll be on the splitty one day!

Project insurance

A little help please guys.
Do you have your resto projects insured?
If so, where do you suggest to get it etc?
I was thinking earlier of the value and just want her safe incase of fire from working on it in garage, theft or any other sad misshap.
Any info greatly appreciated
Cheers

Door Check straps and heater pipes

Hi all, today I stripped out our '65 walkthrough but found that someone has just ground off the check strap points on the A pillars. Are these available anywhere or does anybody have any ideas where to get a pair please? Secondly, I have cut the old cab floor out ready for the new one but am unsure ...

Re: Full pillar?

It's the offside front pillar. Looks like the bus has had a good shunt at some point and a very bad attempt at panel beating on the pillar all the way from top to bottom. Got the repair sections en route. Just thought I'd make life easier/quicker by just whacking a new one in. Thanks all, I'll look ...
