Re: Stainless Headlight Rims?

I looked at several of these at CamperJam - wasn't impressed with the quality TBH - would have been repro ones... thin material and sharp edges...

Can you get OE quality ones?

OE Interior Trim panel chrome strips - impossible to get?

Can you buy the chrome steel strip trim that runs along the length of the interior trim panels? I see Wolfsberg West make repro's - but you have to buy a full set at mucho dinero 8O 8O (hundreds of ££'s) Anyone know if these are sold singly anywhere? Autojumble item maybe? or just impossible to get?...

Re: camper fire!!!

I lost a concours MG Midget to a fire - whilst I was driving it - fuel line split and squirted fuel straight into the alternator 8O Not nice to stand and watch your pride and joy go up in smoke with nothing you can do about it. Feel for the Camper family - that's not a nice end to a great weekend at...

Re: Protecting the undercarriage of my van !

Waxoyl stays pretty soft all the time - whereas Shultz can go rock hard & splits off. Waxoyl was primarily designed for internal cavities as it creeps into joints/seams. Especially if applied warm. Waxoyl is very good underneath but its a pain to work underneath as everything sticks to it and it can...

Re: Transmission Whine - cab noise - normal?

It has a full 'factory' Devon interior - completely as was.... so I'm guessing little or no sound deadening kit at all... Due to the fact that the noise is proper on/off throttle drivetrain load mesh noise I'm guessing its noisy gearbox/RGB's... as on liftoff trailing throttle its OK, as soon as you...

Had 'zee germans' not heard of NVH testing in the '60's? I'n not sure how its getting in - as I would have thought I l...

Re: Accelerator cable tube/fan shroud

Just noticed whilst underneath my 66 bus when changing the clutch cable that the accelerator cable is sawing its way through the gearbox casing 8O It appears to have been doing this for years, as there are many DEEP cuts/grooves in the ally gearbox case, in fact I had to dig the cable out of the all...
