Re: Engine over heat

Are you running OG tinware ? If not the repro stuff will in all likelihood not have the correct vanes on the cylinder tins to pass sufficient air to nr 3 and slightly less critical, nr 1 cylinder. Also - do you have a thermostat fitted ? Finally, are you running heat exchangers or J tubes on the exh...

Re: Anti roll bar on CE 4" narrowed beam

Eventually got mine fitted today by the local garage. Had spent ages under the bus on axle stands trying to do it myself and in the end admitted defeat, so got it installed whilst it was in for an MOT. It’s on a Creative Weedeater 2 beam and is a stock ARB which has been narrowed and sleeved and use...

Re: Tow bar swan neck type

Ola Homes.

Got an OG one hanging up in the garage. Blasted and powder coated black. Fits on the bumper mounting points.

Not sure if it’s what you want but if you want to make the 1.5 mile trip to have a look let me know.

Off on hols on Sat for a week, so tomorrow after work or when I get back.

441D611D-DE47-4AAC-864D-B3C9B7383DA4.jpeg I built exactly the bus you need (not for sale though I’m afraid!) Went a bit further though as discs all round, creative steering rack, 1776 engine, brake servo etc. Goes, stops and almost steers like a modern ish car. I’m on a narrowed beam so steering a ...

Re: Exporting a Vehicle Abroad: Advice needed!

Follow the V5 instructions - keep the whole section about permanent export (it’s a tear out bit) and give the buyer the rest.

Complete date of transfer and country and send it to DVLA.

Job done !

A very nice man !

Took my bus over to Nige Collier to get it finally valued this morning. Had a very pleasant drive to Nige’s place in the beautiful Peak District and was extremely impressed with the thoroughness he applied to valuing the bus. This really is an in depth service provided by SSVC and much appreciated. ...

Re: Fan shroud with heater outlets

You can also get choke blanking plates for the carbs. I had to fit a pair on my Dells. They’re the main culprit in fouling the shroud.

Also make sure your cylinder tins have the internal vanes - they’re critical in directing air over nr 3 and nr 1 cylinders.

Re: Sump oil temperature sender

Westach - got a spare dual oil pressure/temp gauge knocking around somewhere in the workshop. Will need a thermocouple which is available from Jim or Westach, but if you want it PM me and we can work something out.

Cheers
