Re: Devon Spaceway interior, Devon day awning and radio

Hello, know if there much difference between the '67 devon interior and the '65 interior?? As Rich says, this is a Spaceway version for a walk-through bus, available for 66 and 67, and very similar between the two years A 65 interior will be a bulkhead version so a totally different layout Other th...

Is the starter 12V? Does it work? How much do you want for it?

Re: How do check it's a German bus

I will probably get shot down for the exceptions to this rule; but generally splits up to 1967 were German and from 1968 onwards were Brazilian. Yes Brazilians were produced before that but they're incredibly rare to see. And yes there was the one year only South African Fleetline (72?). And as ment...

Re: 1962 Combi for sale advice ?

That engine's wrong too if you're looking for originality - it should be stale air cooling and oil bath air filter for a 62.

I wouldn't touch this personally

I've got a spare 61 - plastic twist knob instead of chrome push knob

Needs a little work but maybe of interest?

Re: Identifaction please ? unkown parts

You have a Devon Caravette (bulkhead) model based on a deluxe microbus.

Someone has then swapped in half a Spaceway interior.

Hope that helps :)

Re: Identifaction please ? unkown parts

A spaceway had a different rear layout so the easicool shelf would have mated up to it differently: http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc142/brianj07/Split/interior%20install%20June%202012/Rearcupboards.jpg Download and repost the picture...? Re: Identifaction please ? unkown parts

On a post-63 bulkhead interior the water tank was mounted under the rear-facing seat so the tap was on the corner of that seat nearest the door. On a Spaceway the tap and therefore the water tank was in the swing out cooker unit, usually in a hidden / closed off portion - you filled it in situ rathe...

Re: Identifaction please ? unkown parts

Table leg cupboard is the long transverse one immediately behind the rear seats and yes it should just be a big hole.

A bulkhead interior had a crockery cupboard on the front most cargo door. I presume Ina Spaceway crockery was stored under the cooker unit?

And here's a picture of the cooker cupboard: http://i1.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article6911311.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/PAY-Classic-Volkswagen-campervan.jpg I think the hole allows access from the front / cooker side into the space that's made by the table leg locker behind the seat - the locker is full wi...

Re: Identifaction please ? unkown parts

Someone was selling a full set of aero papyrus on here recently I think? Don't know if it had cab panels or just the rear load area ones though. The moving part over the cooker is a pull out seat yes it had a folding metal support leg which is what the screw holes on yours are for. This is the only ...
