Re: Crankshaft binding after torquing case bolts

Re check bearing are located correct and dowel pins that hold them. If you removed dowel pins make sure they are back in original holes. Oil or lube is a must. Although as you've split the case now worth checking if crank needs a re grind, new bearings and a complete bottom end check. Short term exp...

Re: " Trix " our 66 adventure continues.............

Cheers Ted. Still waiting for pipe clips and electrical bits so had another go at bending the ply. First tried routing first with a 5mm flat faced bit which achieved a reasonable bend and probably best out of the two, found deeper would probably help but started to allow to much flex. Second tried a...

What's the black box with catches and a pipe into the side of it that's in the box in front of Rock and Roll seat?
It's a double gas burner cooker and grill. Folds up to less than 3", will sort a pic later.

Final position of propex sortd with exhaust port just skimming below fire wall panel so being safe around the fuel tank. Supplied brackets didn't allow clearance for our stora...

Re: " Trix " our 66 adventure continues.............

Looking really nice Bren. I'm looking forward to the Propex install..... I was discussing with Coops just today. Have you gone for a gas Propex or an Electric / Gas unit? Are you plumbing in to heater pipes or a separate internal outlet? It's a gas unit, picked up a boxed unused item last year at a...

Re: " Trix " our 66 adventure continues.............

Been busy plugging away a bit at a time which generally meant fit, glue, clamp, wait 24hrs then sand & repeat. Eventually meant all doors done being ply'd both sides and edged in 6mm trim to finish. Main top section or work top fitted, ply glued on and edged which ended up no mean feat clamping it a...

It's nothing special, just a skirt rail for a caravan. So easily assessable from any caravan dealer.

Re: " Trix " our 66 adventure continues.............

Hey Bren, I'm looking at getting an awning this year as was re-reading page 10 of your thread and how you have fitted the awning rail etc. Any updates/feedback on how it has been since you fitted this? It certainly looks like it should keep out the very worst of the weather. It's worked a treat and...

Cheers Steve not to late as still building caresses so pre veneer stage. What I have is bendy enough and will stay in curved condition when wetted and allowed to dry. Problem is when wetting the oak face its drying with lots of black dots almost like mold spots. Did solve the problem by steaming the...
