Just put my rear glass in, the etching is so good. Excellent and worth the money!

Re: Reaming cargo door hinge pins

Adjustable reamer did the job. Youll need a 6.3 - 7mm.

Job done

Small window Tailgate question

I’m onto the rear of the car now and looking at the tailgate fitting. When looking at the belt running around the body my tailgate sits about 2mm higher than the body and doesn’t quite line up. So... should there be a spacer between the hinge and the body?

Re: Cargo door hinge pin sizes

A 6.3 mm reamer equates to 0.248 inches, just a smidgen under a quarter of an inch. Maybe a 1/4” would work?

Reaming cargo door hinge pins

Hi,
The oversized pins are 6.3mm, and the original pins were 5.8mm
So what reamer do I buy, do you buy exactly the same (6.3) or slightly smaller, if so how much?
Cheers everyone

Re: What can I do if the previous owner has stripped cargo door thread?

If i just tap it its so off centre. Ive tapped the existing hole to m10, ive then cut a bolt to fill the space and epoxy glue it in place and stamped a few notches to stop it turning like on conrods. When its dry ill punch the center redrill and re tap. Ill let you know how it goes.

What can I do if the previous owner has stripped cargo door thread?

The thread inside the hole of the body where one of the cargo door screws has been striped and made wonky. Obviously you cant access this really, any ideas on what i could do to put it right?

Cargo door hinge alignment

Can someone help me please. How are the cargo door hinges fixed to the cargo door? Ive aligned my cab doors nicely and have moved onto my cargo door. My vertical gaps are good, pins are good but the right door is about 4-5mm lower than the left? Im at a loss
