Re: Best DAB radio for an original radio slot?

Thanks for the response Nik :) I guess the FM radio connected to a separate DAB receiver is the way to go but that would mean I would have to have two aux inputs - one for the DAB and one for the IPOD. Or connect the IPOD via USB I guess as some radios do that. It would also mean putting the DAB uni...

Best DAB radio for an original radio slot?

Hi all, I want to fit some tunes into my no-radio bus but don't want to cut the dash hole any bigger so was wondering... where can I buy a decent DAB radio/CD player unit that will fit in the original space? An IPOD input would be cool too. All there is at the moment is the radio blanking plate which...

Re: intermittent indicator/hazard warning lights fault

Had the same problem a few weeks ago. I had the flasher unit strapped on with a cable tie which was restricting it somehow. I also found that if I mount it on its side rather than on its end it also works better. Hope that helps. It was this!! After going through the whole circuit and taking the lo...

Re: intermittent indicator/hazard warning lights fault

Thank you Ferdie!
I will take the whole circuit apart later and give it all a good clean and replace the fuse as well.
Hopefully that will sort it.
Cheers,
Dave

intermittent indicator/hazard warning lights fault

Hi there, my crewy seems to have an intermittent fault with the indicators where sometimes they work fine and sometimes they don't i.e. where the indicator light at the top of the speedo is permanently on instead of flashing when I use the indicators/hazard warning lights but the indicators don't fl...

Mike,
as I said at VF, I should have an article for you in the next month or so on my DC and it's adventures.
When's the deadline for inclusion in the next issue?

Re: Oil gauges - where to put them ?

Saying that,I saw a Panel Van at VF which had the gauges in the panel above on the front of the fresh air box but the 3 gauges were all "angled" with the aid of an offset bracket that had been welded on so the gauge faces were pointing directly at the driver which looked really neat I have to say. P...

Re: Oil gauges - where to put them ?

Mine are just below the dash on the RHS of the steering column, tilted up slightly so I can read 'em (kind of sat between the dash and the parcel shelf if you know what I mean). Keeps the look stock and I can remove them any time if necessary. Also keeps the wiring to/from the engine hidden below th...

attacked by my bus - again !

As we arrived at Vic Farm recently, the dog was getting a bit hot in the back so I went to open the (bit stiff as it's never very warm up here!) rear side pop outs and promptly caught my finger in the opening catch resulting in much blood and swearing that I would never do it again 8O So today, as i...

Re: Typical Oil Pressure

Gauges vary in style and quality - Volksworld magazine did a comparison test about 18 months ago which was pretty good.

Like EMPI said though, its what YOUR gauges say is NORMAL for your bus.

Gauges just give me more to worry about anyway
