Re: NATO bus?

If it was sold to Nato they may have ordered a 'job lot' so collected them from the factory, in which case VW would not know country of destination, you could try contacting the Nato Public Affairs Office? Try this... pao@fchd.nato.int , I know its a bit of a long shot, but you never know, if it was...

Re: BRAND NEW Sambas & Barndoors

Re: Heat riser tinware blank

There is no blank for that bit of tinware that I am aware of unless you make one up, or tape over it with some exhaust repair tape or something heat resistant as a temporary job, but the bit you need to do the job properly is this... http://www.machine7.com/product.php?xProd=335&xSec=301 It is alway...

Re: Urethane or rubber mounts

Fitted Urethane before on the bug, (2.0 engine) as they are meant to be heavy duty, within a year I had removed them all and gone back to the decent quality Grey VW ones that Stateside Tuning etc sell, so so much better.. oh and the Urethane ones with hardly any miles on them were like cheese when t...

Check about oil too, as most will ask for it to be empty of oil, if it is full and they have a spill in transit you could be footing a clean up bill...

Re: jolting bus, please help

Possibly gearbox mounts starting to degrade? Have a look at the one at the front of the gearbox (nearest the front of the van) as it could be that.

Re: T2 'novice' help.

Bit of a piece of string question with the wiring/engine & paint costs to be honest, paint could be anything from £2k for a blow over to £10k+ for a proper job, depends on prep work and what you want as an end result. Similar with engine rebuild, is it a case of a quick overhaul of what was a runnin...
