Re: Heat to front of bus

Hey Ron, you can cable tie them open for now but if you can get the old cables out or if their not there the best way to clean out the cable tube is use an old throttle cable (or similar ) stick one end in a drill and put the other end in from the gearbox end. The cable is excellent for cleaning out...

Re: Scat shifter, awkward change.

Having just fitted a new pro street box, I've had to grind the hell out of the bottom of my scat shifter to enable me to move the shifter over to the right more. 1st & 2nd were hopeless until i made the mods. It's not perfect but I can get all the gears without any probs. I will upgrade my shifter i...

Re: doghouse cooler?

When the thermostat is closed your flaps aren't actually shut. They still allow some air to pass over the heads & BnP's My experience is the engine will only take slightly longer to warm up. What Jim has explained to me in the past is that long term it's not good for the engine , like several thousa...

Re: doghouse cooler?

I couldnt keep my thermostat on my 2276 due the vintage speed exhaust.

But rather then remove the flaps, I welded them in the open position and then bolted them back in the fan housing. Now they can still direct correct air flow over heads and BnP's.

Re: throttle linkage ? upgrade ?

Fitted one of buttys linkages this afternoon.
Probably took less than 1/2 hour. Very very easy.

The only thing I did to the chassis was drill a small hole for the spring.

Re: Vintage Speed To The Rescue !!!!

It took me weeks to decide which exhaust to go for, vintage, A1 sidewinder or python. In the end I'm really happy with the vintage tuck system. Great sound. Dan was excellent and couldn't have done any better. http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad325/Modifiedbrian/A6C0AD8A-6C48-4E20-9E2C-54939346F27...

Another propex question

Hi all

My 2276 gets installed Friday so I'll be losing my heat.

I will be buying a propex in January.

Question, is a 2800 overkill in a bus or would a 1800 or 2000 be enough.

Thanx for any tips

Brian

Best way to wire a CB rotary fuel pump

Hi all

Just looking for the best, tried and tested way to wire this pump in.

Instructions talk of using oil pressure switch.

Is this correct??

Thanx

Thanx John

Just to be sure, Oil shouldn't leak down the tube from the head, past the 2 'O' rings.

Re: Leaking scat adjustable push rod tube

Had some info back from the builder along the lines of your comments. I need to check the clearance of the pushrods through the tubes. I can try twisting them to seal or find a better position for more clearance. Failing that i may need to change to a set of big mouth adjustable pushrod tubes. I hav...

Re: Leaking scat adjustable push rod tube

I didn't build the engine. Bought from the states as a rebuilt unit with new cam & followers.

All the seals look brand new (as you would expect) so it's disappointing at the mo. The other side is bone dry.

Hope to install over Xmas so still got plenty of time.

Thank god for bench testing

Leaking scat adjustable push rod tube

The on going bench running of my 2276 has today given me oil leaks from my scat adjustable push rod tubes. The drips are from the head end of the tube on 1 & 2 side.

Anyone had experience with these tubes?

Should these push rod tubes be leak free

Thanx for any help or pointers
