If its for that reason then I'd go for bolt on removable belly pans but as I said before you have to decide if its worth it. I think my last split got wet twice in one year and it lasted over 50 years before that

Re: Belly Pans

As George says, a must for double doors and sambas. Others have them bolted on to keep the underside easy to clean and stop water and dirt sitting on the chassis. So if you have the dbl door or samba then yes its a must but other than that then weigh it up yourself. Personallyi never looked to drive...

Re: Pricing beetle parts

Its only earlier beetle parts that are worth any real money, I'd say pre 60. 70's are all interchangeable, not worthless mind but not stupid money. You may have parts which may not date to 72 so worth posting pics so they can be identified

Re: Insurance

As above, you must tell the insurer, it probably won't make a difference on the premium but you may invalidate your insurance without disclosure

Re: Help wanted with my bleeding brakes - again!

Really doesn't seem like you're doing anything wrong, and a leak would normally be easy to see. So frustrating :( I think I have a new dual circuit master cylinder in the garage if you want to try for a 3rd time! :)

Re: Colour choice? Stock or not?

Much debated before and there's people on both sides of the fence on this one. Some people think its a crime not to paint it the OG colour. Personally I would keep it original if I was doing a concourse bus but other than that then I'd simply stick to stock colours.

Your bus, your choice.
