cargo door repair panels

Hello, starting to look around to get some repair panels for the very rusty bottom of the cargo doors. Quite capable of repairing it but I know from the past (classic mini's) that all panels are not equal!! In the VW word, apart from NOS, who are the ones to go for? I need inner frame and outer skin...

Re: PAINT

You may well struggle, it's really been clamped down on.

You can home spray with Acrylic though, no problems and it's a little more forgiving.

Towbars

Now I know a few will baulk at this, but I need to fit a towbar to my 65 split.

Does anyone make them?, I'm struggling to find them.

It's only to tow a small camping trailer. I'm quite handy with the welder and not scared to make my own if anyone has plans?

Cheer's in advance.

Re: Radars in a split with a SA.

Well placed me order. Complete change but ended up with Enkei 5's with 195/65/15 and 165/55/15 fronts. A bit more than I wanted to spend but happy that they are a nice quality and will fit (I've been told, the van has previously had a set on!). Thanks for all your help, I've learned alot in the last...

Re: Radars in a split with a SA.

Yeah, cheers gent's I see what you mean about the 145's. The bus is currently running a steel 4 inch beetle rim on the front so the 145 isnt so stretched. I know there is no clearence problems (Tyre to shell) at the mo so if I go to a 165/175 then with a rim with more offset, I'm hoping I'll have no...

Re: Radars in a split with a SA.

Hello, when you say, don't fit. Do you mean the offset or the centre where the hub nut is?

Radars in a split with a SA.

Hello all again, looking to order some rims and tyres for my van. It's running a SA (wide 5 beetle rims at the front and Van ones at the rear, 4 and 5 J respectively) I do fancy some Radars from MWS but is the quality up to it?. Looking at polished as the chrome ones are a little steep for my pocket...

Car covers.

Hello all, long time forum watcher, first time writer. Just (this weekend) bought my '64 11 window and was looking for advice on outside covers. Unfortunately I have to keep the van on the drive. Hopefully not long term though. I've read about 4 layers this and wicking that, but I need to know which...
