Bosch 009 with Pertronix electronic ignition

Hi have a Bosch 009 with Pertronix electronic ignition fitted for sale.

Came from my splittie and is no longer needed - have gone to a vacuum advance due to fitting a standard carb to a replacement motor.

Worked well on the bus and in good condition.

£70 inc P&P

Timing an AE code engine - now running hot??

Been having a bit of trouble with me 1600 DP with 009 distributor that had a flat spot in running. So I've changed to a SVDA distributor and set the timing statically to 5 degrees ATDC as recommended by John Muir. It ran very strong and pulled well and cruised well on the motorway. Unfortunately, it...

Front late brakes

I've a set of complete front late drums for sale. Backing plates need cleaning up and new shoes are advised. These worked fine when removed from my bus. Include backing plates, drums, hoses, slave cylinders and shoes (advised to fit new ones). Based in Nottingham, but commute to Derby. £60 collected...

Rear brake lines for IRS

I've fitted an IRS rear end to the bus and CSP disk brakes, previously swingaxle with drums. The question I have is the configuration of the brake lines as the existing lines go from a T piece above the gearbox to a flexi hose adjacent to the gearbox, fitted on the frame horns. The CSP kit is suppli...

Early or late spindles?

Hi All, Will be buying some CSP disks for the front of the bus and would like to know if anyone can identify my spindles as 55 - 63 or 64 to 70? http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad339/PAULLOUISEWDDING/20160510_190046.jpg http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad339/PAULLOUISEWDDING/20160510_190038.jpg...

Re: Adjustable spring plate angle

I did think when I described the height I was trying to describe the length of a piece of string.

I'll be putting a lock a lock nut both sides of the block when I know I've got the plates on the correct spline.

Thanks for the comments.

Adjustable spring plate angle

Just wondering if anyone who has fitted adjustable spring plates could let me know if they think that the angle I have installed the spring plate at looks about right. The bus was originally lowered to a sensible height, so ideally looking to get back to that kind of height. http://i949.photobucket....

Re: Fitting gearbox

Hi BlastingDiePast,

Bought a kit from Ebay, quality looks to be good I think it is a copy of an existing kit.
