Alan Shofields had them along with small fibre washer. Two man job, I waited till the frame was secured back on the bus. Get someone to push down on the top of the rivet with back of a hammer shaft, using a combination of centre punches, and whateven came to hand hammer upwards, flaring out the rive...

Yep mango and seagull grey (not corect for year but coolest colour combo). Only has the bus 4 weeks, first VW for that matter so I'm a newby to all things air cooled. Hopefully a link to some pictures of the frame assembly. I will try and take some detailed pictures while I assemble the other side tonight :)

Drill / grind off the top swivel rivet, the 1/4 light frame top should pull out enough to be driven upwards. Put the bottom nut back on, and give it a good strike with a hammer, that should free off the washers. Just done mine last week and starting to re assemble. I'll try and post some pictures. D...
