Tony C popping engine problem

Evening all so I popped up Tony's Yard to see if we could find anything wrong with his popping engine no exhausts leaks manifolds and carbs manifolds all tight slipped the belt off and turned it over by hand so popped the the rockers off and we then found this http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa17...
