Re: Betty 1965 westie, welding time at last!

I saw this thread only a few days ago, with the a and b pillars on a chassis. At first I thought it was some kind of joke, so then I read from page 1! Oh my god, i have a hard time believing that this bus came from North America, not south. Should be called bad betty... No-one will ever doubt your s...

Is the bump still available?
I know it is a year later, but there has been a lot of interest in it.

Re: UK supplied 54 Barndoor Standard

It's an amazing original uk bus! I was lucky enough to drive it way way back in 2000, albeit for a short distance. Back then, it was a little bit shabby, but still in very good condition! Cheers, Dom. I just realised I wrote shabby, I meant it was well worn not tatty!! It was a long time ago, befor...

Re: restorer to strip back paint to og??

Like everyone else is saying, avoid razor blades. Sure they take the paint off easily, but you can easily put a nick in the og paint. I know this!!
Taking the paint off is a boring boring job, but the rewards are worth it.

DVLA and Sorn

So I had to write to DVLA to notify that my father's car was not sorned (as he had died and it was in storage). Imagine my surprise that a few weeks later I got a letter about a car I sold in 2012. It was from intercredit international, they were demanding £80. At first I thought it was a joke, but ...

Re: Good Quality or HD Clutch Cable???

I used speedy cables many years ago. They did a great service, the cable they made never broke (unlike the so called quality ones...).

Have you checked the bend on your bowden tube??

Re: Matt Smith's buses

They're on the Facebook page. Just thought I'd point them put if anyone hasn't seen it. Some amazing once in a lifetime buses from a trustworthy man to deal with, in the UK. What's not to like. I'm guessing the 'offers' rule and a bit of humility stops him posting here himself but of nothing else t...
