Does the top kingpin 'press' into the bottom one ore just push in? It should be around a 1 ton press fit....also the bushes should be changed together and reamed in line. The spacer normally has a step, but it looks like your lower pin has been machined out and rebushed?? Give me a shout if you need...

You should have checked for play before you took them off the bus, difficult to detect when off, unless completely knackered

I think that reamer is for the kingpin bushes not the track rod end taper. Early kingpins are 22mm and late are 24mm. The adjustable reamer 21-24.5mm can be used for both. You will need to find a track rod end reamer. Or you can buy some inserts from Butty's bits, but you will need the appropriate d...

If you are taking your box apart anyway and have access to a press, you can remove the cover, support the case and press the shaft 'through' the arm. It does go with a crack so be careful, I reckon about 5 tons does it.

It sounds like it stayed with the seller at that price.... I dont think the 55 compares condition wise with the 54 for sale in the US.
