Make sure you tape up the ends properly as it will trap water nicely.
That’s one advantage with the stock wrap ala Schofields....it breaths and doesn’t trap water. It’s what I used in the end and it is excellent....imho

Re: VW Remtec 2007cc Heat Exchangers

Depends to some extent on the quality of the bog bore HE’s. I had CSP big bore HE’s fitted to a 1776 (only 31cc’s less than your engine) and it was as good as the stock heaters on the original engine. Not cheap tho.....

Re: What’s the difference between a 64 and 67 Kombi 11 windows?

The biggest difference (and one that hasn’t been previously mentioned) is the biggest obvious change.... a full size radio hole was a 67 only feature..... before 67 model year it was a squarer hole with 2 round holes for the radio knob spindles. If the dash is uncut and original it’s a guaranteed 6...

For instance ‘65’s are a ‘one year only’ with some parts being unique to that year.

Re: Problems registering my bus

Your other option is to send your VIN number to https://www.automuseum-volkswagen.de/en/certificates-and-data-sheets.html and get a birth certificate. This is proof of the year of manufacture and I had no problems registering my bus using this. That won't work with a Brazilian bus. And even if it d...

65's are a one year only....You can have a chat with Butty (Si) and he can put you straight on what's what. He's got some pics on his website I believe.

Re: Dellorto 36mm DRLA Twin carbs

Magic8Ball has a set complete with manifolds and CB linkage in the for sale section. Doesn't say if they're 36 or 40's.
If it's the pair of 36's I supplied him then they're good.

If you're not looking at the Berg locker option then it's worth taking a look at Bugtec shifters...available through Hayburner I think. Excellent quality.
