What was meant to be a quick repair tweleve months ago has turned into a light resto although I've only just started on it, really missed driving the bus this year here's looking to next year; How she looked before work started and driving it in weather like this probably did'nt help the body work.....

Check the msd dizzy inners (centrifugal weights) as they don't like damp weather, although symptoms normally other way round i.e at higher revs but worth checking although it does sound like carbs to me... Have you checked your valve clearances?
