Re: Red9 Design Front and Rear coil over suspension

Re: Bizarre Gear Problems

Thanks for the reply Jim, the issue now isn't clutch slippage but the popping out of first and the horrible noises when taking my foot off the gas. As regards the flywheel, pressure plate I was not aware that the flywheel had been machined to match as Daz only mentioned the pressure plate but as he'...

Re: Bizarre Gear Problems

Cheers , I was thinking of getting one of Butty's intermediate mounts too. Do you think that's overkill for my power and torque?

Daz was happy with the pressure plate he said it only had
a few hotspots. He's pretty belt on braces so trust his judgement

It wasn't me that fitted it!! (or Daz Chandler) do you think that belt and braces replace all 3 mounts or just the front mount?

Alternator Recommendations

My 55amp Bosch Alternator has given up the ghost after about 20 years service. Should I be getting a new Bosch one only or are the "good quality" alternatives that are advertised up to scratch. I am aware that Bosch aftermarket parts are not what they used to be. I would quite like a chrome or polis...

Re: 1963 project

It is possible to get the rear hinges off. If memory serves it's a pin holding them in place. I think I bolted mine instead of a pin. The hinges were hard to get hold of though, unless someone is now making them new

It's strange that when I bought it, it had a Canterbury pitt interior and not the devon interior, someone must have swapped them!!

Re: Weber 34 ICT Over Fueling.

When I had 34 ICT's I suffered from over fueling too with my stock fuel pump, I fitted a separate regulator (not a particularly expensive one) and never had a problem again, I think I used to run 2.5-3 PSI on the regulator. Mechanical fuel pumps are notorious for running high and odd PSi's
