Best quality regulator for a 1600 engine?

Who makes/supplies the best quality regulators for a 1600 engine?

Are you best off with original parts? Can they be reconditioned?

That looks great!

Yeah, I’ve been giving VWJims servo kit some serious thought, I’m sure it would be a great upgrade and be a big plus to the driving experience :)

Re: Type1 v Type4 engines – differences/benefits between them?

Although my bus is stock-ish, steering and brakes have both been upgraded anyway. Even with the 1600cc it made sense! :) Steering https://www.vdubxs.com/custom-power-steering-rack-upgrade-for-a-vintage-vw-bus/ brakes https://www.vdubxs.com/vented-porsche-944-discs-and-willwood-4-pot-calipers-whats-n...

Re: Type1 v Type4 engines – differences/benefits between them?

I’m glad it’s not just me then!

Re: Type1 v Type4 engines – differences/benefits between them?

so what about a 2 litre 914 engine with DTM upright cooling, would that fit/work OK? I read somewhere about them having a 3 stud case? Is that a good or bad thing?
