I’ve made no progress in the last 18 months and we have moved house so not likely to be able to get going. I’m not in a rush but could anyone offer advise on the best time, place etc to se...

Re: Rust creep.....

It's the rust that's wipes off. Yes grinding but some of these spots have emerged where I haven't been grinding. The garage was not wind proof which I have now sorted. So maybe there was more moisture in the air than there should have been.

Rust creep.....

Hi all had my van blasted 12 months ago and sprayed with epoxy primer. I now have the odd patch of rust coming through. See photo. So best to sand/grind back, clean and repaint or just paint over with more epoxy. It's real thin and almost wipes off. Thanks in advance. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.co...

Re: First time project 66 Oregon

Wow can't believe it's been 10 months since my last post. I have not done a fat lot in that period. Just after getting the engine rebuilt the engine in my bay went pop so I had to get that rebuilt. I'm trying to get motivated to get stuck into the welding. A quick trip to busfest has hopefully helpe...

Re: First time project 66 Oregon

Just looking at the engine rebuild. I'm having it rebuilt. It's bust a hole one of the pistons but the case looks ok so looking at a reasonable rebuild with new barrels and pristons etc. One head cracked so looking to replace these as well. It's SP 1500 (1966) so a any thoughts please, upgrade to 16...

I'm going pop top in my 66 walkthrough. I think the head height and extra light makes a huge difference.

Re: First time project 66 Oregon

So a question. I have access to the underside of the b and c posts can I get the door hinge screw plates out? They giggle nicely with a screwdriver from below, I have two stubborn screws? Thanks
