Think your spot on ,the more mods the more probs probably why vw spent millions on development only for us to mess things up.

Hi Jim I've refitted the old beam its stock width with adjusters I might try and fit the narrowed beam at some point ,I bought lime bug narrowed tie rods etc to suit might sell the lot if anyone interested cheers

It is a creative beam so I was told ,will go back to it some point ,so any year bay outers, stock split inners stock roďs are the rods all the thread thread diameter, just want to make sure thanks

Hi Jim the trailing arms are to small move about to much ,bought the bearing sleeves from yourself they fit the arms snug but to large for beam ,beam 50 mm diameter, sleeves 50mm would need machines down to 48 approx ,what year bay track rod ends cheers rob

So after find out my narrowed beam purchase wont fit early torsion arms late beam might go back to it some day ,anyway put my old beam back on ,problem is need new tie rod ends and rods spindles have been deemed for bay ,steering arm for split so need help on parts where to get them year for outer a...

Hi Jim got the parts today ,so had a look at the torsion arms the new sleeve will go on no probs the problem is at the beam end it will be tight that's if they fit when offered up they look like the are flush any ideas.

Even more confused all the split ones I've looked are bent just need to make a bracket or put it on top of the arm.

Also Jim being early spindles the torsion arms are to loose in the beam I see you have a set of sleeves in stock to suit .

Hi all so dropped the old beam now inge process of building up the new one ,so took the pitman arm of the old beam as its lhd fitted that then first problem steering damper hits the adjuster it's possible to fit it on top of the arm ,also it's got a bend on it the arm that is the rhd one I got with ...

Cheers jim expect an order soon ,my spindles are one year type with 20mm link pins ,they are fine need more shims ,dont think I've enough ,also pinch bolts are the ones with domed nuts no good for drop spindles I read,probably new seals for outer torsion arm,new lock tabs,and a drivers side lhd oute...

Ok so spent some time today on bus ,stripped both sides down ,but left the torsion arms on was thinking remove them when I drop the beam,had a few probs as expected ,firstly the first spindle nut drivers side lhd just kept turning clockwise I know the nut was threaded managed to drill it down and sp...

Thanks Jim it's running a stock beam with adjusters, drop spindles, spax shocks ,just fancy going down and in a tad.
