Re: Panel issue

I haven't Jim,thought it might be a tooling problem and not worth ordering another in case it was the same.Might give em a ring and see what they say.

Cheers

Panel issue

Hi Folks,

Has anybody an opinion on where to get a decent fitting outer B pillar repair panel. I have an autocraft one,but it's like the leaning tower of Piza and i would destroy it trying to correct it.Is the Schofield panel any better in shape? or another supplier.

Thanks in advance

Re: Dragging clutch think I have checked most things but still it drags ...

From what i have speed read  i take it the clutch doesn't fully disengage when depressed, even if you adjust the cable tightly. If so,your old pressure plate(clutch cover plate) is worn and too weak to fully disengage the friction plate from the flywheel when pedal is depressed, and no amount of ...

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Better to take them out individually, as it's too awkward to move about/wrestle with as one unit

009 dizzy should be timed at 32deg advance @ 3.5k revs.
This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ don't worry where it falls at idle, max advance is more important with a 009

Your endfloat clearance will change if you change the flywheel.

Re: Brake lights!

It's unlikely that both bulbs have blown at once,so here is a quick check you can do. Take both wires off the brake light switch under the van,and with somebody at the back checking the lights, touch the wires together and the brake lights should work(you may need the ignition switched on,depending o...

Re: Torsion bar adjustment

You are turning the inner clockwise on the nearside, and anti clockwise on the offside Afraid not. You turn the bar clockwise on the rhs to lower the bus and anti-clockwise on the lhs. Yeah that's on the outers, but you have turn the inners in the opposite direction to get the drop he is looking for :D

Re: engine type?

I think i read somewhere the letter prefix did not appear until 1965,it was only numbers before then. It could have been ground out and teeped with a new number i suppose. It's a single port i assume? According to the samba, 63-65 1500 engine with no cam bearings started with a 0,that might be the a...
