Re: Single Garage Resto...

Just a small update, bought some 3M shims for my brake pads to stop the squealing, it was REALLY loud to the point people would put their fingers in their ears while looking round at me [emoji2960]. It seems to have done the trick, no more squeaking brakes! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190414/...

Saw this bus today in the flesh, such a nice build. Full credit to a home build.
Thanks Jim, good to meet you and Brian, looking forward to seeing the pick up

Good to see your using it and finding out whats its really like to own a splitty, what do you think of the red 9 front end.
I really like it, all works as it should and no sawing of the steering wheel.

Single Garage Resto...

Back in the man cave after I got new release bearing I hooked the engine out again and fitted the new one along with new wing nut and lock nut to the cable just to make sure. Second break down happened on my mates drive after smelling a strange burning small after I turned the lights on, turns out t...

Re: Single Garage Resto...

I noticed the new gearbox had a sleeve for the release bearing (my old gearbox didn’t) and my clutch had a spacer/washer on the pressure plate, after a quick google people were saying just to take the spacer off of the pressure plate and the box will fit. Sure enough it all went back together until ...

Re: Red9design ride height

I’ve raised it up one hole now because it was rubbing on the box section under the arch but it now sits at 19cm before it would have been about 17cm. Re: Red9design wishbone set up question

Red9design wishbone set up question

This is as low as a red9 can go on the front. I’m not running tubs but the tyres would catch on the top arch over big bumps but I’m not running super low profile tyres, mine are 165/65 15 so you could go lower and avoid rub with different tyres. In the end I went up one notch on the bolt pattern to ...
