Sorry for not replying sooner Jim, I didn't get an email notification. The bus is now sold and awaiting pick up. Good luck with your search.

Its difficult to find the right price and sweet spot for these. It has deteriorated slightly since these pics. What would you suggest?

Re: Starting Problem

Got 300 miles done this weekend. The trip away was a success and she started first time every time. I nipped up all the spades so I think its sorted :-)

Re: Starting Problem

Yep! Looks like it was the solenoid. It was nice and dry and in fairly good knick. Gave it a few gentle taps and sprayed the contacts with WD40 . Started on the button every time after that. I'll tentatively say thats it sorted for the time being. Thanks for the help and suggestions chaps!!

Re: Starting Problem

So I've spent most of the day under the bus (gear linkage issue), but I went round all the wires in the engine bay and cleaned/nipped up all the spade connectors. Thought I'd found the issue when the lead from the ignition coil fell into my hand soon as I touched it, so I skipped into drivers seat e...

Re: Starting Problem

Thanks for all the suggestions chaps. I had a hot start relay fitted a couple of years ago so I don't think its that, but of course it could be related. Yours is an entertaining and interesting read Sjtw. I'd hoped to go through all the wires today, but I have a uni deadline for Friday (mature stude...

Starting Problem

Went to put bus back in garage last night and had nothing on crank. I've got lights at dash and fuel indicator. Tried a few times to start it and eventually it fired up with seemingly full power. I'm thinking its something to do with the ignition switch as recently I've had to turn the key as far fo...

Not quite the same but have you thought about vwsunroofs.com or parisbeetles.co.uk? Nice panel by the way, got one myself. Who did your window conversion? I'm thinking of going that way myself in the future.

Re: Had anyone heard from Passion4 ?

Such a tragedy, and whilst bad it could have been much worse. Can it be salvaged at all? It would be one hell of a phoenix from the flames. I had a bit of a scare when I took my bus out of winter storage a few weeks ago. Filled it right up to the first click of the pump, which for me was just below ...

Re: Nice find!!

I'd love to stumble across a find like that. I think we haven't found half of whats out there in old barns and lock ups; and thats just in the UK. I love the hump seat. I've one in my turks panel, but its grey and I assumed that was the original colour. Now I'm wondering if it was turks originally. ...
