OLD market photo
Just thought we might share with you an old photo that came to light while rebuilding the towns market. Showing the floods of 1969 in Barnsley market, I was only 10 at the time but remember my mother trying to keep me and my brother out of the water. Back then we didn't have a VW but you can clearly...

Re: red 9 front brakes
Just got most of the parts for assembly now, looks like I will have to make a spacer for the disc mount, as once the calipers are bolted to the stub axle the caliper isnt central to the disc, will have to do some head scratching to sort this out.

Re: red 9 front brakes
We managed to get a set of front 944 calipers, they look to have the same mounting points and the bolt spacing is the same, once we have the disc mounted with new bearings we will have a better idea on if or how to mount them. Just had the entire front assembly apart and painted along with blasted a...

Has anyone fitted Porsche boxter calipers to the red 9 front end, or any other uprated caliper set up, already got the vented disc's and some mountings that came with the kit.

Re: red 9 front brakes
No Jim new to me, bought off another owner that must have had it laying around for a while, everything has gone that could go, bearing numbers rusted away, but I will be able to get them sized up locally, been looking for 944 calipers hoping they will simply bolt onto the stock fittings and work wit...

red 9 front brakes
Just bought a red 9 front end, almost all the bolts are siezed up, the wheel bearings are shot and all the ball joints are gone. It came with the vented discs as on their big brake kit, the calipers didn't come with the front end. I am running 15" wheels so clearance should'nt be a problem, just won...

Another great idea from the man, putting up with the whistle from the windows or opening them up to get cold and wet, hope it works on our van.

Re: Headlight switch
Well we cleaned up all the terminals and that did improve things a bit, we ran a live feed to a few of the connectors as clymo suggested and things brightened up, a change of the bulbs might help or led bulbs. We have a new rev counter on the dash wired into the same system and thats working OK to a...
