Rear Top Shelf or Cupboard

Afternoon All,

I’m after a rear top shelf/cupboard setup if anyone’s got one they want to get rid of please.

It’s for a small window, condition not important.

Appreciate help from anyone,

Thanks,

Re: Oil Pressure Light and Switch

All sorted, thanks Jim and 8Bus. Green light working A1. Although the additional part in there appears to have a larger thread so i've had to retain it for now.

Oil Pressure Light and Switch

Morning All, I’m still going through the Bus I’ve bought and I’ve one problem that I’m about to embark on, the lack of green light on the dash. Bulb checked and is ok. Engine appears fine but won’t be happy until this issue is sorted and I’m not driving it on the road atm. Looking in the engine comp...

Broken Down

Hi all, I’ve stopped to assist a chap in a 65 bus, and it’s died. Starts after about 10 mins however feels like it’s flooded, once that goes away it runs fine. Until you go to drive and after 5 mins or so under load we are dead again and back to square one. 009 Distributor, points and condenser. I’m...

Re: Vague Gear Change

Thanks Who, I’m taking a day out of it today and will return tomorrow to sort it out. Seems more people have issues with these than I thought. Back in the early 90s when I had a 65 Bus the rear coupling gave me nothing but nag (it had an early IRS conversion) and put me right off owning a bus for a ...

Re: Vague Gear Change

Ok, so another day avoiding chores and crawling about under the bus finishing what I couldn’t yesterday. I checked, adjusted the front coupling slightly (needed tapping home) and wired both the front and rear couplings. It was still on my mind though that the new front rod’s locating hole wasn’t in ...

Re: Front End Knock

Thanks Jim, I think I’m only talking one or two notches if that’s the right term. The bus is on axle stands while I sort out the gear linkages, is it ok to do that procedure while on those? Forgive me if that’s a daft question, never tackled an adjustable before. By doing this, is it a reasonable ex...

Re: Vague Gear Change

Right, so an update.. Firstly, I’ve decided to borrow the M spring from the ‘59 just to get me back in the road, and thanks for the pointers Who on those. I must admit that I find it a bit odd the UK doesn’t have these at hand given the amount of early buses here these days, and they ain’t cheap are...

Re: Front End Knock

**UPDATE** It appears the beam as mentioned before isn’t as old school as previously thought. Now I’ve got the Bus up on to axle stands and I can actually get under it properly it has adjusters! It has a quite worn away instruction sticker on it, but I need a microscope to see the writing that’s lef...

Re: Vague Gear Change

First of all, thanks Who for such a full reply. I read it yesterday morning just before going out to work on the Bus all day, and it certainly helped with my piece of mind where I thought things may have been missing! So I got the front most rod out in the end, by cutting the coupling - a previous o...

Re: Vague Gear Change

Evening All, I’ve an update on this thread which has led to more questions... I’ve established the front most rod is an early one. The guide bracket underneath has the ‘M’ spring, but as discussed previously the bush is non-existent and this could mean the bracket is worn. The rod has been cut and w...
