Re: Not wanting to wake up after a long winters sleep

Just an update for anyone that reads this thread in the future. My fuel cut off solenoid is connected to my fire extinguisher, so that if it goes off, the solenoid shuts down the fuel from the tank. If, you happen to have a loose earth wire on the extinguisher then the solenoid thinks it’s gone off ...

Not wanting to wake up after a long winters sleep

1641 with twin dellorto carbs. Electronic ignition. Rebuilt and tuned about 2 years ago, ran beautifully all last year, then I put it to bed at the end of October. Usually I take it out every couple of weeks over the winter just to keep her moving. But I’ve been away a lot and the the weathers been ...

Re: 100A Leasure Battery

I have that one in my bus. Fits fine, charges and lasts well. Will run a propex for about 1 1/2 to 2 nights without needing to be recharged. Runs phones etc without any issues.
Had it just over a year.

Re: Upgraded Fuel Tank

I have a bay tank. Up side is extra fuel, down side is that the hose to filler neck is almost horizontal (and very hard to fit) so if you do fill it all the way up you can spill fuel, especially if the bus leans toward the filler cap when parked on a slope or goes round corners. So I tend not to fil...

Re: September 2017 - VOTM - Cosy Sleeping Setups!

I'm not sure I have many photos of my sleeping set up. Not something I take pictures of. But as I have a Devon Dormobile, I can do an 'Upstairs Downstairs' sort of affair :) https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4404/37320667172_a9108937e7_k.jpg Untitled by Steve Williams , on Flickr https://farm5.staticfl...

Re: Lots of buses for sale

I've discovered over the years that the best way to learn how to fix the bus is to break down.
My problem so far is that every time I do break down, it's something new :)
Tech weekend was great. Seeing everyone else buses and the problems they fix, helps understand your own enormously.
