Re: Any Dormobile Interiors

Hi Sorry this is such a late reply! I haven't been on the forum in ages. I'd love to see some pics of your Dormobile if you're still offering :D Just came across this thread, are you still all there...? I have a May 62 Dormobile, fully restored (with a some cheeky mods!). As I understand, they only ...

Re: 2012 Ssvc agm @victoria farm,

Hehe, yes that is true, I'll swap you for the one you picked up if you like? The plan is to leave at 12:30ish on the Friday (as early as we can kidnap the 5 year old from school - think The A-Team busting Murdoch out of hospital). We're then meeting a few others on the way down, 1 at Washing...

Re: Holes in top of front wheel arches

The holes at the bottom are right up against the outer dogleg skin. There should be two. Have your doglegs been replaced? Yes the doglegs have been replaced (I think the roof is the only original part left on my van! :D ) - I'll have to have a scout around underneath and see where the holes should ...

Re: Holes in top of front wheel arches

I'm guessing originally the would have had holes in the bottom to let water out?? :? - :D Originally the back half drained out through the b pillar - ~I have some pictures somewhere of the front arch I split from a b pillar showing the original drainage route. I'll dig them out That's great, thank ...

Re: Holes in top of front wheel arches

The holes in the arches should line up roughly with the holes in the bottom of the doors. When the doors take on water pass the felts etc, it can then escape thru the holes down onto the arch...then out thru the bottoms of the arch. The holes in the arch are ideal for a good squirt of Waxoyl. Alway...

Holes in top of front wheel arches

Hi, I've been given conflicting reports about this and would like to know what other people have done: There are 3 holes along the top of each front wheel arch. When it rains or I wash my van the wheel arch fills with water from water running down the door and into these three holes. Should there be...

Re: Splitscreen dormobile

I think Formica was introduced to the later models. It was probably all to do with weight and changing fashions rather than cost. (I can say that as mine has formica!! )

Re: Any Dormobile Interiors

Hi Caroline, Here are the pics you need - should be able to make one from these http://s429.photobucket.com/albums/qq20/vwboop/Dorm%20table%20bracket/ Bracket itself is pretty simple. Let us know if you need anything else. Thank you so much - that is brilliant! I haven't been able to find anyone wi...

Re: Any Dormobile Interiors

Hi,

Yes that sounds exactly the same type of table with the fold down single leg at the back and the ladder type folding front as seen on the pic.

A pic would be great - thank you!

Re: Roadtrip to Italy - Recommendations sought

Hi, I've camped at Lake Maggiore (it was quite a few years ago - 2004) and stayed at Camping Riviera at Cannobio http://www.riviera-valleromantica.com/default.htm It was a lovely spot as we got a pitch right on the lake edge amongst the trees so it was nice and sheltered. I think there were restaura...
