I can’t remember off the top of my head but as said above if you look at the staggering if your cylinders and heat exchangers it will make sense - one side is slightly further forward

Re: Speedo LEDs ? Anyone used them?
Glad you got it sorted. I have three light switches with broken dimmers, none with a working one though sadly

Re: Doghouse extension
I’ve got a few of these Jonny, I take them out of my engines to save the hassle of trying to tighten a bolt from underneath  Let me know when you’re around and I’ll sort you one out. Lovely, thanks, I’ve got an oil leak to fix and no girlfriend to hold my nuts so anything which makes dropping ...

Re: Doghouse extension
That is why mine is a pain to do then. Learnt something there. I’ve had to ask someone to hold the nut in place while I get under the bus and put the bolt in. So how does the threaded insert work then? As in what do I buy and how do I fit it? Is it similar to a helicoil? Sent from my iPhone using T...

Re: Barndoor and Wolfsburg Busses - Convert Running lights to Brake Lights
Yes mine is a 62 bus so is wired for Euro lights with separate indicator. I think I’ve got a separate wire in my loom for running them as 61 lights if I want to but I haven’t used it and couldn’t tell you off the top of my head how it works. I have 61 lights so I presume they would take a dual filam...

Re: Barndoor and Wolfsburg Busses - Convert Running lights to Brake Lights
I used some LED boards from http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/ I’m not sure they’ve ended up as bright as Jim’s conversion and required me to modify the original light housings slightly so not a plug and play solution. I’ve got orange flashing as well as the red though which was what I wante...

Re: anyone tried this "Duxback" windscreen treatment?
So it’s £9.99 to buy it off ebay, or £25 to get Halfords to put it on for you? I’m certainly interested at a tenner rain-x is great but doesn’t last long. Rain-x do an antifog for the inside too which was a game changer for me, makes wet weather visibility so much better, particularly on the side wi...

Re: Heater Tube Insulation
I used the latter last time. The R value is pretty low and I can’t say I noticed much difference but I only wrapped it once round I think you might get better results wrapping it multiple times. Also my bus has stale air heat exchangers which aren’t quite as forceful as later ones. Sent from my iPho...

Re: Two port fan housing
Pretty sure the flaps will transpose across but you’ll need a different linkage bar as it needs to go round the doghouse. There’s a bar for each set of flaps and a third one to link them, as opposed to the single bar you have for a single port shroud. You’ll need to pick up the mount which transpose...

Re: Two port fan housing
If you want a shroud with heat exchanger outlets then there’s no reason to get a 36hp style because all types of oil cooling and both single and twin port engines were made with heat exchanger outlets so you can get an original shroud instead. Even though they say it has the correct fins inside they...

Re: 1958 bump bench base
I’m sure you know this but the base isn’t humped, except by having been sat on for years. It comes symmetrical from the factory. The hump is present in the back rest only of 61-62 bench seats. Other bench seats are all flat across the backrest too. Hope that helps buyer and seller Sent from my iPhon...
