Re: Welding
As far as gas go, another vote for hobby weld. Its just like getting camping gas. More initially as you rent the bottle but cheaper re-fills as and when you need.

Re: Manual cable pull engine bay extinguisher
Above beat me to it. Worked in motorsport for a few years running different types of single seater race cars and they were all pull type fire extinguishers fitted. Where would you plan on putting the pull? We used something similar to these. Two outlets that you can plumb in with the outlets where y...

Re: Cant get the engine to go in
When you have the engine in as far as it will go have you tried turning it over by hand to get the input shaft splines lined up with the clutch plate? You will know if you need to clearance the bell housing by the fact that the flywheel will leave score marks on it when you are trying to turn it ove...

Tried silver, white and red. Went for red in the end. I'm happy with how it came out.

I use collinite 476s on my van. If you use it do a small area at a time and keep buffing it off.

Re: Johnson Bros Double door panel.
Cheers for the comments. Its made from 19/12mm pipe, £70 delivered. I used plumbers pipe benders so the 19mm went a little out of shape, but not as bad as I feared and the 12mm was fine. Only issue I had was the benders pulling the pipe through as I bent it but it was fine once I put a pair of maul ...

Re: Johnson Bros Double door panel.
Clamps made today and finally decided on colour for the rack, couldn't decide between silver, white or red. Opted for red in the end and I'm pretty happy with it. Had enough steel left after building the rack so knocked up a ladder to go with it. Made some little brackets for the ladder so i can lea...
