Eastern Germany build Type 2 1943 Kubel chassis, found in Germany. Is this the bus in question?

Re: refurbed carbs
Just buy one at a swapmeat or vw shop, check it for play and damage and have it refurished at a local or any recommended shop. That's the only way to be shure it's done properly.airkooled72 wrote:does anybody know of anyone who sells refurbed carbs or refurbishes them ? looking for a 30 pict 1

Re: '65 Highroof WT Westy style!
That's some improvements there...Are you sure that Stella will be ready to roll for WT2012? Looks like you got some work to do... But great work! IRS would work for you i guess. If my bus wasn't such a rare car i'd be doing this mod also. Got leaking bearing houses again and there is a new roar when...

Re: recommend me a battery!
I would recommend the 55A Optima's. A bit pricey but strong and long lasting(if used well up to 8-10 years). These needs a charger(if used) whitch is capable of charging a Gel battery. Also make sure that there is no voltage leak on the first(starter) battery. Optima's don't like voltages below 11.2...

The Eberspacher BN4 is working and installed! What a nice peace of equipment it is. A bit noisy though. Don't know if i will make friends on family campings...But we got heat! And it looks just great: http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp155/EvelynSerge/IMG_4026.jpg http://i407.photobucket.com/album...
Re: Radios?
We don't have Ipods. We use it with 2 16GB SDcards. There are also 2 line-in ports(front and back) so any mp3 player could work i suppose.

Re: Restoring a flipseat SO-35 Westfalia
It has been a while since the last update but a lot of work has been done since then. Just finished the rack! I'm quite happy with the result. Just have to nail the Westy tag and it's all done. But i miss a nail so i have to find the proper nail first. http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp155/Evelyn...
