Re: Welding

A really good site for MIG buying advice is https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/ - they're a decent friendly bunch too!

Re: Front badge

Has it got all 4 pins on the back? Is it bent out of shape at all - difficult to tell from the photo?

Thanks.

Rollover hoops for a splitscreen

Bought 8 years ago and never used (NOS?!) - £250

Shipping will be around £35 or I can take to Slough (Newbury) or possibly Eddy's next May.

Re: ultimate wheels on history channel

Link to auction - I was hoping it had a jet engine! Some it sounds like a Mike Brewer special... "over £6000 spent on heritage parts alone": Please only bid if you are serious as it is frustrating when people do not complete a deal. £200 disposit will be required within 24hrs of auction closing. No posts in here so I thought I do one. Didn't know the sun was shining this morning 8) 8) Thanks for pointing out that the Google satellite image was taken on a BB weekend. I don't have Google Earth installed to interrogate the date/time but I would say that was probably taken in 2017. With ...

If its slow to crank when hot then your starter may be suffering from heat soak. I had this problem and a new starter fixed it.
Coincidentally, just seen this on thesamba.com: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewt ... p?t=725848

Re: sekurit and sigla glass 1952-67 brand new

Are you able to make custom-sized windows? I need 2 pieces, ideally toughened but laminated would be okay, flat, approx. 550mm x 400mm, rounded corners, can supply a paper template, with a '58/'59 Sekurit logo.

Re: Engine fails to start after it's been running

We had this problem with our 6v Oval Beetle. It was caused by the starter motor bush in the bellhousing expanding/binding and slowing the starter when warm. A new bush fixed it, it's supposedly a common problem.
