I bought a rear metal repro from scofields a couple of years ago, quality and price was really good. I did think of a glass one very very briefly, but do you really want something with zero structural integrity on the front or back of your van?

If it were my van I would definitely not paint it. Scrape, buff, clear coat. Leave.

My old 58 was both low and smooth, i straight axled the rear with adjustable plates, 4 inch narrow beam with adjusters and dropped spindles, with a steering box raise ran it with spax shocks all round. It wasn’t tubbed or notched, but that would of been the next thing on my list. Road better than yo...

Cool, always weighed up steering box lift or rack on my 58. Edit, went for the lift on the 58 in the end, purely clearance driven tho. Yeah all my jobs for WD are in London, probably know the same bunch of people!! Would be up for a shoot n meet bud, but I’m afraid I’m between vans at the moment aft...

It’s a small world! I’m at MK business centre, which I’ve just seen I meant linford Wood! But close enough! funny that you Work for Wilmot Dixon, I work occasionally on WD sites, but not for a while, usually in London. You fitting the rack yourself? Interested to see the clearance when it’s done.
