Informing DVLA of engine change?

Has anyone informed the DVLA of an engine change recently. Have you sent off the log book for the number to be changed? I ask , because I'm sure I heard that they now ask for proof of purchase etc for the new engine. I, like many of you will have used an engine that had been in the garage for years,...

Re: RH Insurance

Do RH require a written valuation by an 'expert' before they will insure an expensive bus? Or do they, as some do, let you set a value yourself. This would be for an agreed value policy.

Cheers

Re: The scene

Call yerself 'old skool' pah! I had owned my bus for 14 years in 1985 and I thought it was all going wrong then. :) The people who are buying split van toilet roll covers and 'cool' T shirts now will be wondering where it all went wrong in 10 years time. Sadly times move on. The good thing, I guess,...

Re: IRS conversion

Thanks for all of the info. I did ask the same question on Farcebook and In have found someone who knows the bus. It looks to be an older conversion that uses Bay Window parts, using this method, apparently the engine and gearbox can sit lower. If it has been done properly there shouldn't be any pro...

IRS conversion

I have never picked up on this before as stock buses are really my thing. Is this normal when a bus has b...
