Re: Non stop wipers

I thought the wiper frame and switch were earthed by being bolted in place, have you tried running a wire to earth them while they are not in place?

Re: Another wiper motor wiring query.

Well done! The two 54 terminals are the speeds of the motor, and the 31 b is the switched earth. Does that mean I need a 67 2 speed switch then? Also, the loom piece provided by Peter has 4 wires, brown, black, black and yellow, black and purple. Wouldone of these earth bothe the switch and the mot...

Re: Wood headliner problem?

That looks like the pic/measurements i used, i dont recall them being perfect though, but our bus has had work to the roof, so maybe they are? I would cut some test strips using those widths and test pop them in place... It will give you some practice for getting the sheets in the channels at the si...

Re: Radio dead, repair?

IMO It's whats inside that counts  But you can't deny modern technology produces a clearer sound - depending on speakers :? You could find someone to repair it, but is easier to get modern gubbins put inside the case, so you can appear to have the best of both worlds. It probably isn't too har...

Re: somethings up with the fuel

Hopefully someone else will chime in about how filters can appear empty? Maybe a pocket of air? As long as the carbs float bowls aren't emptying quicker than the evaporated fuel can find its way up to refill them it wouldn't be noticed or matter? Re the fuel pump, if I remember right, it has a diaph...

Re: somethings up with the fuel

Sounds exactly like stock pump ( pumps diaphragm split or even the pumps pivot pin has worked its way out?) I've had a blocked fuel line to the pump before, but chances are its the pump. If not, then it's still nice to have a spare at hand for future, and you can check the line from the fuel flow wh...

Re: Sun is shining and the bus is running rough????

I'd temporarily swap the lead to the other plug on that side and see if the problem follows, Otherwise, take the plug out, if it has any visible sign of damage (being hit by the cylinder) then wait for someone else to reply... You could make things worse by getting it to fire? You can rule out fuel,...

Re: Sun is shining and the bus is running rough????

:( does one of the manifolds feel cold? Ie determine which side or cylinder may not be firing? I've checked leads before and thought they were all ok, one seemed fine when curved for my test, but was failing when connected to the engine. Only found out by luck while retesting. I've had a distributer...
