Hi - 4 OG Splitscreen wheels (No crowsfeet). Painted white (probably Cloud White) 2 with Bridgestone Potenza 185/65/15 2 with Nankang 165/50/15 All tyres have very good tread, all clips in place. No worries - I have found this article which walks you through it - especially the parking brake section referring to stock brake cables for pre-59. … and also the bit I forgot about shortening the return spring.

Looking at Heritage web site 64-67 cables are 3465mm and 60 are 3330mm and 60-63 are 3460mm ND 56-59 re 3168mm so if you haven't changed your early ones yet they should be 297mm shorter than the 64-67 ones you have in the kit already (ie :not longer) so it would make sense to fit longer ones with tu...

Hi - re the beetle brakes - I built my 66 completely on beetle gear, backing plates, handbrake spacer, super beetle cylinders, early beetle drums custom drilled to 14mil and they are brilliant (did exactly the same with a 61 10 yeas ago) - no issues whatsoever on braking or holding on steep hills - ...

Hi

1. On a non-Brazilian … No, it just protrudes through the hole in the dash and the switch is secured by the screw on the bottom into the underside of the dash.
2. Yes, it is a variable resistor to dim the speedo dash lights

Hi - long thread on the Samba but page one has a photo showing Type 2 5x14 (205 pcd) at 47.5mm and consensus seems to be that 14 inch bus rims are the same between Bays and Splits.

Hi - Points gap too small and closing up when hot ? - could you post some more detail on what dizzy, ignition, carb, fuel pump, HT lead and coil set up you are running please.
