Hoping someone knows someone that might have a set, or the odd one or two for sale. I'm searching scirocco forum etc, but the VW scene is...

Re: The VW Engine Company - Catford
100% recommendation from me.
Great help from my first call for information through to test drive on collection.
Friendly and very knowledgeable
Not quite to my 500 mile service, but all good so far
I went for a 1641, little extra torque

Re: The Engine Shop (Kent) - any experiences?
isn't google wonderful !! 'Engine Shop reviews' throws up some unfavourable results so search continues for a possible engine supplier I've come across The Engine Company, http://www.thevwenginecompany.com/index.html. Looks promising from the reviews, anyone had experience ? Any one else to consider?

Carb referb - recommendations
Time for a carb referb and I'd prefer an expert to cast their magic wand over it.
My efforts at clean and make good in the past haven't been brilliant
Any recommendations/suggestions?

Re: Restoration advice
My advice would be to make it a running restoration. Keep it on the road in the summer and work on it through the winter. You can then continually work out what's the next important improvement you want to make, it will continually change as you live with the bus Otherwise, you'll have spent your mo...

Cheers Lee
That's the one
Although I thought they were about £40ish.
Ah, that's the LHD.
Interesting the RHD is twice the price. Guess there's a reason.
Thanks for the tip on the rollers too, a problem I'd not been aware of
time to dip into the moneybox
thx
