Re: Scat shifter

Sell it on and buy a Berg, CSP or Bug Tech,

I had one and experienced the same pain after hours and hours.

Bergs, CSP and Bug Techs just fit and work.

Sorry if that’s not what you want to hear but it’s true. The scat beetle shifters work much better than the bus ones

I got as far as pulling my box out and swapping for the one I bought. The reason for this is I planned on sending my tr...

Re: Vehicle of Historic Interest (VHI) definition

The way I read that is that anything with a Red 9 design type front end will be considered “substantially modified” due to the fact that the suspension and steering are no longer the same “type” as were originally fitted. “Axles and running gear – alteration of the type and or method of suspension o...

Re: Windscreen Washers

I just ordered some online I think. The mesh is quite easy to manipulate for the jets. I ran the tube down the A pillar. Didn't have to drill anything at all. I did fit a non return valve at the top just before the Y joint for the washer jets as the fluid would sink back into the bottle without it. ...

Re: Gear Coupling

The bolts should have a pointed end on them that locates in the holes on the shift rod and gearbox shaft. They should also be lock wired as you have said. If they become loose then it will cause poor gear changes. The bottom bolt in the picture looks correct and standard. The top one doesn't. Fairly...
